Fada Retail Sales Report for January 2024 : Total Sold 97,675 Units
In January 2024, the FADA retail sales report unveiled a remarkable surge of 36.94% in 3-wheeler sales. Bajaj Auto Ltd. emerged as the top performer in vehicle sales for the month, while other manufacturers, including electric vehicles (EVs), notably achieved the highest sales growth at 52.17%.
FADA disclosed the sales figures for 3-wheeler original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in January 2024, demonstrating positive sales upticks across all brands. The segment collectively witnessed the sale of 97,675 units, a significant rise from the 71,325 units sold in January 2023, marking a 36.94% growth in the 3-wheeler category.

Bajaj:
Bajaj is one of the most prominent three-wheeler OEMs in the market. The FADA three-wheeler report for January 2024 showed that Bajaj sold 35,606 units, compared to 27,024 in Jan 2023. As a result, the brand observed a growth rate of 31.76%.
Piaggio:
According to the FADA three-wheeler sales report, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. sold 7,651 units of vehicles in January 2024. The brand sold 6,041 units in Jan 2023, resulting in a growth of 26.65%.
Mahindra:
Mahindra experienced a sales growth of 32.60% in retail sales in Jan 2024. To substantiate, it sold 4,019 units in Jan 2023, which increased to 5,329 in January 2024.
Y.C. Electric:
Y.C. Electric sold 3,375 units in Jan 2024, registering a hike of 48.35% when compared to the 2,275 units that were sold in January 2023.
Mayuri:
This brand sold 2,359 three-wheelers in January 2024, compared to 1,749 units in the same month last year. Henceforth, Mayuri increased its sales by 34.88%.
Atul Auto:
This 3-wheeler company also experienced an increase of 12.57% in its retail sales report. Atul Auto sold 2,068 units in January 2024, compared to 1,837 in Jan 2023
Citylife:
Citylife, also known as Dilli Electric Auto Pvt. Ltd., has closed the month with a decent growth graph. The brand sold 2,007 commercial vehicles in January 2024, compared to 1,493 units in Jan 2023, experiencing a growth rate of 34.43% in sales.
TVS Motors:
TVS, a renowned manufacturer, also concluded the month with positive sales figures. The brand sold 1,786 units of three-wheelers in January 2024, compared to 1,368 units in Jan 2023, and generated growth of 30.56%.
Mini Metro:
Mini Metro saw a fall in sales of 0.18% in the retail sales statistics of Jan 2024. They sold 1,115 units in January 2024, compared to 1,117 in January 2023.
Saarthi:
Saarthi, or Champion Poly Plast, observed a 13.43% sales decrease in their Jan 2024 sales. The brand closed in January 2024 with 993 units, whereas the units sold in January 2023 were 1,147.
All other brands, including electric vehicle manufacturers HOTAGE CORPORATION INDIA, UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL, ENERGY ELECTRIC VEHICLES), saw a collective sales surge of 52.17%. They sold 97,675 units in January 2024, compared to 71,325 in January 2023.
