In December 2023, the FADA 3-wheeler retail sales report revealed an impressive surge of 36.47%. Bajaj Auto Ltd. led the vehicle sales for the month, while SKS Trade India Pvt. Ltd. notably achieved the highest sales growth at 90.32%.
FADA revealed the sales figures for 3-wheeler OEMs in December 2023, showcasing positive sales increases across all the brands. The segment collectively sold 95,499 units, marking a significant increase from 69,976 units sold in December 2022. This reflected a 36.47% growth in the 3-wheeler category.
Here, let's break down the total sales of all the various OEMs.
Brand Wise 3-wheeler Sales Report Data of December 2023
Bajaj is one of the most prominent three-wheeler OEMs in the market. In the FADA three-wheeler report of Dec 2023, which showed that Bajaj sold 29,590 units, compared to 24,553 in Dec 2022. As a result, the brand observed a growth rate of 20.53%.
According to the FADA three-wheeler sales report, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. sold 7,261 units of vehicles in December 2023. The brand sold 5,978 units in Dec 2022, resulting in a growth of 21.46%.
Mahindra experienced a sales growth of 29.71% in retail sales in Dec 2023. To substantiate, it sold 4,558 units in Dec 2022, which increased to 5,912 in December 2023.
Y.C. Electric sold 3,820 units in Dec 2023, registering a hike of 60.77% when compared to the 2,376 units that were sold in December 2022.
This brand sold 2,653 three-wheelers in December 2023, compared to 1,997 units in the same month last year. Henceforth, Mayuri increased its sales by 32.85%.
Citylife, also known as Dilli Electric Auto Pvt. Ltd., has closed the month with a decent growth graph. The brand sold 2,290 commercial vehicles in December 2023, compared to 1,560 units in Dec 2022, experiencing a growth rate of 46.79% in sales.
This 3-wheeler company also experienced an increase of 9.13% in its retail sales report. Atul Auto sold 1,937 units in Dec 2023, compared to 1,775 in December 2022.
TVS, a renowned manufacturer, also concluded the month with positive sales figures. The brand sold 1,549 units of three-wheelers in December 2023, compared to 1,120 units in Dec 2022, and generated growth of 38.30%.
Mini Metro followed a positive sales trend of 70.22% in the retail sales statistics of December 2023. They sold 1,532 units in Dec 2023, compared to 900 in Dec 2022.
Saarthi, or Champion Poly Plast, observed a 32.86% sales increase in their December 2023 sales. The brand closed in December 2023 with 1,302 units, whereas the units sold in December 2022 were 980.
The J.S. Auto Company, too, observed positive sales growth of 69.85% in the Three Wheeler Sales Report in December 2023. It sold 1,155 units in December 2023, compared to 680 in December 2022.
SKS Trade India Pvt. Ltd. followed a positive sales trend of 90.32% in the retail sales statistics of December 2023. They sold 1,081 units in Dec 2023, compared to 568 in December 2022.
All other brands, including electric vehicle manufacturers (HOTAGE CORPORATION INDIA, ENERGY ELECTRIC VEHICLES, UNIQUE INTERNATIONAL, KHALSA AGENCIES, ALLFINE INDUSTRIES PVT LTD), saw a collective sales surge of 54.23%. They sold 35,367 units in December 2023, compared to 22,931 in Dec 2022.
