The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority had first announced that the FASTag system would start from February 1. However, implementation got delayed due to various reasons.

Toll Tax Will Not Have To Be Paid if a Queue is Found for More Than 100 Meters

The NHAI has recently issued new guidelines regarding toll plazas with the FASTag facility. In these new guidelines, it has been said that toll taxes will be collected from vehicles at toll plazas within 10 seconds. The new rules also state that the queue of vehicles at the toll booth should not be more than 100 meters long. If the line is more than 100 meters long, vehicles will pass through the toll gate without paying toll charges. A yellow strip will be marked on the road 100 meters from the toll plaza to implement this new initiative.
