Jupiter Electric Mobility, the electric vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons Ltd. (JWL), revealed its two Light Commercial Vehicles. The names of these vehicles are the JEM TEZ of 2.2 and the EV STAR CC of 7-ton GVW at the Auto Expo 2023. The partnership of these domestic and overseas companies will further strengthen the electric vehicle segment of the company.
JEM has launched two variants of commercial electric vehicles into the market and plans to undertake the production in India. And it will establish service facilities in the market. The main focus of these commercial electric vehicles will cater to the needs of the last mile deliveries. In the first phase, these vehicles will be targeted in major metro cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Jupiter Electric Mobility has come up with a North America-based company specialising in Commercial Vehicles for passenger transportation. The partnership of Log9 Materials for Electric Vehicle batteries and Xavion Mobility for the design and betterment of electric vehicles will benefit the upcoming market.

Specifications of the Vehicles:-
The two variants of the JEM light commercial vehicles come with high-quality specifications. According to the company, the 2.2T JEM TEZ is manufactured with a high-efficiency powertrain. This powertrain increases the kilometre range of the vehicle and takes up to 180 KM of range on a single charge. In addition, it has a gradeability of 23% to provide the vehicle with better stability on incline roads. Furthermore, the JEM TEZ has a rapidly chargeable LTO chemistry-based battery and a life of over 10 years.
In addition, it is enabled with a 7-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Also, the EV STAR CC seven-tourer is fitted with LFP batteries and has a certified range of 250 Km with a gradeability of 22%.
The company also expects to grow their portfolio in the MCVs, HCVs and buses shortly.
