Mahindra Domestic CV Sales Rise to 33,750 Units in September 2024

Mahindra & Mahindra Reports 5.74% Increase in Domestic Sales and 25% Growth in Export CV Sales

Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, recorded strong performance in September 2024. Its LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segments showed notable growth, with an impressive 25% rise in sales, solidifying Mahindra’s standing in the heavier segments of the commercial vehicle market.  

In September 2024, Mahindra's domestic commercial vehicle sales rose by 5.74%, with units sold increasing from 31,918 in September 2023 to 33,750 in September 2024. This increase reflects Mahindra’s resilience and ability to thrive in a competitive market environment.

The Mahindra sales report for September 2024 includes data on sales across different vehicle categories. Below is a breakdown of the sales data for each segment:

LCV < 2T  

In September 2024, this category registered sales of 3,444 units, compared to 3,941 units in September 2023. The brand witnessed a 13% decline in this segment.  

LCV 2T–3.5T  

Mahindra closed September 2024 with 16,988 units sold, slightly down from 17,438 units in September 2023. This represents a modest 3% sales decline.  

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV  

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment experienced significant growth, with sales rising by 25%. Specifically, 3,274 CVs were sold in September 2024, compared to 2,618 units in September 2023.  

3-Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)  

The 3-wheeler category, which includes electric 3-wheelers, also saw a substantial increase in sales. In September 2024, Mahindra sold 10,044 units, compared to 7,921 units in September 2023. This marked a 27% rise.
