Mahindra Records Surge in Domestic CV Sales: 28,983 Units Sold in Feb 24

Mahindra saw a 10.65% CV Sales Rise and 28,983 vehicles sold in the Domestic Market

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV category experienced a remarkable growth of 167% in truck sales, marking the highest increase.

In February 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra, a top commercial vehicle maker, experienced a 10.65% rise in its domestic CV sales. The numbers show an increase from 26,193 units in February 2023 to 28,983 units in February 2024.

The sales data for various types of vehicles was also included in Mahindra's CV sales report for February 2024. Now, let's take a closer look at the sales figures for each category.

LCV<2T

The category registered sales of 4,146 units in Feb 2024, compared to 2,515 units in Feb 2023. The brand witnessed a 65% increase in sales growth.

LCV 2 T–3.5 T

Mahindra closed the Feb 2024 sales with 15,779 units, whereas the sold units of LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 17,241 in the same month last year. The brand experienced an 8% decline in the 2024 FY.

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment experienced growth of 167% in February. To illustrate, the segment sold 2,900 CVs in Feb 2024, compared to 1,087 units in February 2023.

3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)

The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment, also registered an increase in sales. They sold 6,158 units of the 3-wheelers & electric 3-wheelers in February 2024, compared to 5,350 units in Feb 2023. As a result, the brand registered a rise of 15%.

According to Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “We sold a total of 42,401 SUVs in February, with a growth of 40% and 72,923 total vehicles, a 24% growth over last year. In our endeavour to make some of our SUVs available faster to consumers, we launched the Scorpio N Z8S variant and the Thar Earth edition this month.”
