Mahindra Launches Mileage Guarantee for All BS6 OBD II Trucks

On July 8, 2024, Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), part of the Mahindra Group, introduced a new customer value proposition. This initiative is aimed at launching a mileage guarantee for their entire BS6 OBD II range and is set to lead the commercial vehicle industry. This includes the BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO, and JAYO trucks in the HCV, ICV, and LCV categories. The groundbreaking initiative, 'Get More Mileage or Give the Truck Back', addresses the challenges of rising fuel prices and changing regulatory standards.

Advanced Technology for Better Mileage

The new truck range features the 7.2L mPower Engine for HCVs and the mDi Tech Engine for ILCVs, both equipped with FuelSmart Technology and Mild EGR with an advanced Treatment System. These innovations lead to lower Ad Blue consumption and higher mileage. The trucks also come with iMAXX Telematics, ensuring high mileage. Mahindra's mileage guarantee promises the best fluid efficiency, combining fuel efficiency and minimal Ad Blue use.

To back these advancements, Mahindra conducted rigorous fluid efficiency tests (diesel + Ad Blue) across 21 product categories and 71 models, including competitor vehicles. These tests, overseen and validated by an independent agency, covered over 1 Lakh kilometres in various loads and road conditions. The results confirmed Mahindra's dedication to exceptional mileage, performance and reliability.

We saw the need to improve engine efficiency further in order to meet new standards and exceed customer expectations.
