The category registered sales of 3,941 units in Sep 2023, compared to 4,452 units in Sep 2022. The segment sees a drop of 11% in sales.

LCV 2 T–3.5 T

Mahindra closed the Sep 2023 sales with 18,917 units, whereas the sold units of LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 16,413 in the same month last year. The brand experienced a 15% increase in sales growth.

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment witnessed a remarkable growth of 42% in the month of Sep. To illustrate, the segment sold 1,139 commercial vehicles in Sep 2023, compared to 801 in Sep 2022.

3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)

The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment also registered a note-worthy growth. They sold 7,921 units of the 3-wheelers and electric 3-wheelers in September 2023, compared to 5,774 units in September 2022. Therefore, the brand registered an excellent growth of 37%.

According to Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., “We are excited to achieve our highest ever sale of SUVs for the third consecutive month. This month, we saw a growth of 20% with 41,267 vehicles. We also registered an overall growth of 17%. In September, we also crossed the 1 Lakh unit mark for our Bolero Maxx Pik Up trucks, making it the fastest-selling pickup in the country to reach that mark. While demand for our key SUV brands continues to be strong, we are keeping a close watch on the availability of semiconductors and select components to meet the strong festive season demand.”
