Again, Piaggio secured its number 1 position in India's Fast-Growing Electric Cargo 3-Wheeler Market and claims over 55% market share in the overall market.
Piaggio Vehicles is India's leading maker of small commercial vehicles, again taking leadership in the fastest-growing electric cargo 3-wheeler segment. The company has announced that it will continue to maintain its No.1 position until the end of November '21, but the specific data is yet to be released.
Earlier this year, Piaggio released its FX range of EVs in cargo and passenger segments. Currently, the company has released a statement that "it has gained 55% of the cargo electric three-wheeler market." Also, Piaggio says that the L5N electric three-wheeler cargo segment has emerged as a clear leader in the H1 FY 2021-22 period.
Piaggio has seen the increasing popularity of its Ape E-Xtra FX electric cargo three-wheeler, developing 9.5 kW power. It comes with both fixed & swappable battery solutions. The 3-wheeler has a proven full metal body architecture fitted with a beneficial 6 feet cargo deck length. The vehicle is customizable for delivery van applications for the e-commerce segment and garbage collection for municipal applications. The company also developed some government applications and institutional applications with EV garbage tippers for Swachh Bharat Application. With this, Apé E-City of Piaggio has gained high popularity among the users and one of the reason of the company's fame.
Piaggio is the most preferred brand among the top fleet operators in India, such as MoEVing, Amplus, City Link, which provides cost-effective, eco-friendly and easy last-mile transportation. Besides, the company has forged strategic partnerships with Sun Mobility and Reliance BP Mobility (JioBP), such partners to provide complete mobility solutions and infrastructure and end-to-end green mobility solutions in India.
