Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd announced a partnership with City Link Portal Pvt Ltd to expand the Electric 3 wheeler fleet of City link.
On Monday, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd announced a partnership with City Link Portal Pvt Ltd to expand the electric vehicles (EV) business of City link. The company statement said, "Earlier in this year, City Link launched its "Think Green Think EV" initiative and entered into this high growth segment".
“Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd is happy and proud to contribute to the "Think Green Think EV'' initiative of City Link by offering Ape' Electrik range of vehicles. We believe that our techniques or technology will enable City Link to offer sustainable, efficient and lower operating cost goods delivery solutions to its customers", said Saju Nair EVP, CV Business, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd.
"Though we had estimated 100 EV at launch, with Piaggio we believe that we will increase our Electric vehicle range multi-fold within this financial year. City Link is confident that apart from being eco-friendly, EVs are expected to drive higher ROI and lower distribution costs than other options, said co-founder and CEO of City Link, Puneet Prakash.
According to Piaggio, the new Apé E-Xtra FX is the strongest electric vehicle with a 9.5 KW power output in this segment. The electric cargo comes with a proven full metal body architecture loaded with a beneficial 6 ft cargo deck length. The company also provides service solutions to ensure peace of mind and confidence to its electric customer.
The electric vehicle comes with a 3 year/1 lakh km "Super warranty". Also, it has a 3 years free maintenance package as an introductory offer for customers.
