The Tata 407 CNG variant is claimed to offer profits up to 35% against the Diesel variant.
Tata Motors company has launched a CNG variant of its successful 407 LCV (light commercial vehicle). The price of this variant is Rs. 12.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
The engine of Tata 407 CNG is a 3.8-litre engine that delivers 285 Nm and 84 BHP. The truck comes fitted with a 180-litre CNG tank. Tata Motors claims that the vehicle offers earnings of up to 35% against the diesel variant. The 407 CNG comes with an SFC (semi-forward control) cabin with features such as a USB mobile charging port, Blaupunkt music system and Fleet Edge - Tata Motors' fleet management platform. This truck has a 10 feet cargo area and a GVW of 4995 kg.

The 407 gets an SFC (Semi-Forward Control) cabin built with high-grade steel for better protection. Tata also claims that the 407 front parabolic suspension drive significantly reduces clutch and gear shift force and offers low NVH levels. In addition, the 407 range also comes with the FECVP (Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform) for fleet management, with a free 2 years subscription. The Tata 407 CNG is offered with a 300000 km / 3 years warranty.
