Tata Motors, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, announced its sales numbers in March 2024. The company's overall domestic CV sales decreased by 10%. In March 2023, 45,307 commercial vehicles (CVs) were sold, but the number dropped to 40,712 in March 2024.
In contrast, the overall sales of CVs decreased by 10%. This category had sales of 46,823 in March 2023 and a drop of 42,262 in March 2024.

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle)
The HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) category of Tata Motors recorded an 11% fall in March 2024 sales. The brand sold 12,710 units last month, which closed at 14,206 units in March 2023.
ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles)
The sales of Tata Motors' ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles) segment recorded a 19.00% fall in March 2024. The brand had 6,781 sales units in March 2024, compared to 8,327 in March 2023.
Passenger Carriers (PC) Category
The Passenger Carrier section of the brand has become the constant ranker. Tata Motors sold 5,854 passenger carrier units in March 2024, compared to 3,973 in March 2023. As a result, the sales numbers surged by 47%.
SCV Cargo and Pickup
Tata has a good market share in the small commercial vehicle cargo and pickup segment. Furthermore, the brand experienced an 18% drop in sales in March 2024. In March 2023, the brand sold 18,801 units of SCV and Pickup, which decreased to 15,367 units in March 2024.
CV Exports
The brand's export sales performance increased. The brand sold 1,516 units of CV in March 2023, which increased to 1,550 units in March 2024. As a result, its sales increased by 2% this month.
