Tata Motors has recorded a tremendous jump in its total (domestic and export) sales.
Tata Motors said in a statement that the company sales in the domestic and international market reached 76,210 units which is 186% greater than the 26,261 units sold in May 2021.
Tata Motors, Part of the most trusted Tata Group, is one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers and has manufacturing units in other countries like the UK and Africa.
The company's total domestic sales counted 74,755 units this year, which was 24,552 units in May last year.
Tata Motors sold 31,414 units of commercial vehicles in the domestic market in May 2022 as against 9371 units in May Last year. The export of commercial vehicles in May 2022 experienced a decline of 31% concerning the units sold in May 2021.
The industry also recorded an integrated net loss of Rs 1,032.84 crore in Q4 of FY 2022 against Rs 7,605.40 crore in Q4 FY21. The revenue of the company from operation fell 11% YoY to Rs. 78,439 crore during the quarter.
