Tata Motors Launches 2 Ultra Range Next-Gen Trucks in South Africa

Built to provide smarter and cleaner cargo mobility solutions, the Ultra range best covers both traditional and exclusive logistical applications including white goods, construction, farming, FMCG, bakery & confectionery.

Tata Motors, a leading multinational CV maker, along with its authorized distributor, Tata Africa Holdings, has launched the Ultra range of versatile heavy-duty trucks – the Ultra T.9 and Ultra T.14 – in South Africa. The trucks are said to be quite multifunctional, catering to a diverse range of commercial applications including both traditional and specific logistical requirements. Some of the common applications include FMCG, construction material supply, white goods, and agriculture. Built for delivering higher output, these models feature the best of power and fuel efficiency, while reducing total cost of ownership.

Features and Specifications of Ultra T.9 & Ultra T.14 

The ultra trucks feature Tata Motors’ turbocharged diesel engine ensuring max power & torque output. While the Ultra T.9 supports a 3.3 L engine, the Ultra T.14 comes with 5.0 L engine offering reliable heavy duty cargo movement over long distances.  

Featuring parabolic suspension, these heavy-duty trucks ensure uninterrupted operations in rugged road conditions. In addition, the models are equipped with Fleet Edge– company’s flagship connected vehicle system. This technology enhances fleet productivity through efficient management. 

Along with these, the trucks also focus on driver’s comfort and convenience. The models feature a spacious walk-through cabin, dashboard-mounted gear lever, booster-assisted clutch, and power steering. Besides, the models ensure fatigue-free rides for driver’s by featuring mechanically suspended seats.
