Tata Motors Sold 37,214 Trucks in India: Sales Surged by 13%

The HCV Trucks and Passenger Carriers segments of the brand ended the month as the highest gainers with a 45% and 46% increase, respectively. 

Tata Motors, one of India's largest manufacturers of Commercial Vehicles, has showcased its sales for September 2023. The company witnessed an increase of 13% in sales in the domestic market. Tata ended the month by selling 37,214 units of CVs against the 32,979 units in September 2022.

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle):-

The Heavy Commercial Vehicles category of Tata Motors recorded a hike of 45% in September 2023 sales. The brand sold 12,867 units last month, which closed with 8,889 units in September 2022.

ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):-

The sales of the ILMCV segment of Tata Motors also ended positively. The brand had 6,377 sales units in September 2023 against 6,238 in September 2022.

Passenger Carriers (PC) Category:-

The Passenger Carriers segment of the brand has become the constant ranker for the last year. Tata Motors sold 3,344 Passenger Carriers units in September 2023 against 2,287 in September 2022. As a result, the sales numbers surged by 46%.

SCV Cargo and Pickup:-

Tata has a good market share in the Small Commercial Vehicles cargo and Pickup segment. The brand experienced a -6% drop in the September 2023 sales. In September 2022, the brand sold 15,565 units of SCV and Pickup, which decreased to 14,626 units in September 2023.

The performance of the brand also dropped in the export sales. The brand sold 1,911 units of CV in September 2022, which decreased to 1850 units in September 2023. As a result, the sales went down by 6% this month.
