New Partnership to Promote Electric Commercial Vehicles
Tata Motors, the biggest commercial vehicle brand in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vertelo, a company that offers electric mobility solutions. This new partnership aims to offer simple and flexible leasing plans for electric commercial vehicles in India. With this step, both companies want to help more fleet owners switch to electric vehicles easily and affordably.
What This MoU Means for Customers
Under this agreement, Vertelo will offer customised leasing solutions for all electric commercial vehicles made by Tata Motors. This means that customers across India will have more ways to start using electric vehicles for their business without facing high upfront costs.
Commenting on this move, Mr. Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head – Trucks, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “Tata Motors is working hard to make electric vehicles more accessible to all. This partnership with Vertelo is a major step in that direction. Together, we are not just offering electric vehicles—we are building a strong EV ecosystem in the country.”
Vertelo's View on the Collaboration
Mr. Sandeep Gambhir, CEO of Vertelo, also shared his excitement. He said, “We are happy to team up with Tata Motors. Our leasing plans will cover a wide range of electric commercial vehicles including buses, trucks, and mini-trucks. With this, we want to help fleet owners choose electric vehicles without worry.”
Tata Motors’ EV Range and Offerings
Tata Motors has already introduced several electric vehicles in the commercial segment. These include the Tata Ace EV for last-mile delivery and the Tata Ultra and Tata Starbus for mass transport. The company has also displayed new electric models like the Tata Prima E.55S, Ultra E.12, Magna EV bus, Ultra EV 9 bus, Intercity EV 2.0, Ace Pro EV, and Intra EV.
In addition, Tata Motors supports its vehicles with a growing EV charging network, strong after-sales service, and its Fleet Edge platform to help fleet owners manage vehicles better.
This new partnership between Tata Motors and Vertelo is a big step toward a cleaner and greener future. With flexible leasing plans and a wide EV portfolio, more businesses can now shift to electric vehicles with ease. This move will help build a stronger electric mobility system in India.
