Trucknetic Introduces First EV Truck Platform ‘EVolev’ of India

Evolev Is A Single Platform Comprising Electric Vehicle Segment

Trucknetic has launched its new electric commercial vehicles platform called 'EVolev'. It intends to bring the entire electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem under a single roof.

Trucknetic is a Delhi-based online logistics and transport startup which is called Uber for Trucks in India. The startup has announced the introduction of an 'EVolev' platform for electric trucks. As per the company's official statements, this EV platform aims to accelerate the mass adoption of EVs and disrupt the EV ecosystem in India. However, this company is already involved in reducing the carbon footprint in the country and resolving the return load issues with lower logistics costs.

The platform 'EVolev' is pronounced as 'evolve' in English. Trucknetic says this word indicates the evolution of the Indian transportation sector to the revolutionary electric vehicles that are the eco-friendly alternative to conventional mobility solutions. 'Olev' in its name stands for 'Online Electric Vehicle', and this startup aims at building the Electric Vehicles as a service (EV-aas) platform.

EVolev platform comes with a unique logo design where the bold 'E' stands for the Electric Vehicles' smooth transition, and 'V' stands for the power and significance of electric mobility in the logistics sector in the coming future.

The founder of Trucknetic, Arham Pratap Jain, cited "Businesses such as logistics and e-commerce firms which rely heavily on vehicular transportation, are best placed to be early adopters and market-shapers in the EV space. Our company observes tremendous potential for electric freight mobility to build a green and robust supply chain for the future. Going fully electric in this manner is one step in transitioning mobility systems to adapt to climate-friendly technology and operations that will not only future-proof the business but also drastically minimise transport-related carbon emissions."

The EV sector is witnessing a major boost from all the stakeholders involved in it, with major policies, industries, and consumer attention. At the COP-27 summit, India's government strongly committed to having 30% of personal vehicles as electric vehicles by 2030. Under this statutory effort, supply chain companies and auto manufacturers are investing significantly to attain this ambitious goal. After launching EV Trucks, the startup is yet to observe the revolutionary phase in road logistics mobility solutions. Further, the emergence of an EV aggregation platform for the EV segment of commercial trucks in India will be an outstanding path to accelerate the adoption of the EV ecosystem.
