VE Commercial Vehicles Sells 3,812 Units in April 2024

Eicher Trucks' sales dropped by 22.35% in April 2024, with 3,689 commercial vehicles sold compared to the previous year.

VEVC, a collaboration between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, saw a major 22.50% dip in commercial vehicle (CV) sales in April 2024, selling 3,812 units as opposed to 4,919 units in April 2023.

In April 2024, Eicher Trucks saw a 22.35% decrease in commercial vehicle sales compared to April 2023. The domestic sales of Eicher vehicles also saw a 23.34% drop, totalling 3,527 units compared to 4,601 units in April 2023.

Segment-Wise Sales:

The LMD (3.5-15T) segment sold 2,264 CV units in April 2024, which closed with 3,011 CV units in April 2023. This resulted in a 24.81% fall in sales.

In addition, the Heavy Duty segment's sales also declined by 20.57%. This segment sold 1,263 units of CVs in April 2024, compared to 1,590 units last April.

The LMD segment of Export Eicher Truck sales data for April 2024 shows an increase of 3.79%. This segment completed sales of 137 CV units in April 2024, compared to 132 CV units in April 2023.

In addition, the HD or heavy-duty segment of the brand also experienced an increase in sales. The segment sold 25 units of CV in exports in April 2024, compared to 18 units in the same month last year, a 38.89% gain.

Overall, the Export Eicher Truck Sales statistics for April 2024 showed sales of 162 CV units, compared to 150 units in April 2023. The sales increased by 8.00% year over year.

Volvo Truck Performance:

Volvo Trucks experienced a 26.79% dip, selling 123 units in April 2024, up from 168 units in April 2023.

Overall, VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, sold 3,812 CV units in April 2024. The brand recorded a decrease of 22.50%, as the number of units sold in April 2023 was 4,919.
