VE Commercial Vehicles Sells 8,610 Units in March 2024

In March 2024, Eicher Trucks saw a 5.70% decrease in year-over-year sales, selling 8,354 units of commercial vehicles.

VEVC, a joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, experienced a notable 4.50% decline in commercial vehicle (CV) sales for March 2024, with 8,610 units sold compared to 9,016 units in March 2023.

Comparing March 2024 to March 2023, Eicher Trucks' commercial vehicle sales decreased by 5.70% year-over-year. Domestic sales of Eicher vehicles also saw a 6.69% drop, totalling 7,995 units compared to 8,568 units in March 2023.

Segment-Wise Sales:

The LMD (3.5-15T) segment sold 5,032 CV units in March 2024, which closed with 5,625 CV units in March 2023. This resulted in a 10.50% fall in sales.

In addition, the Heavy Duty segment's sales rose by 0.70%. This segment sold 2,963 units of CVs in March 2024, compared to 2,943 units last March.

The LMD segment of Export Eicher Truck sales data for March 2024 shows an increase of 73.70%. This segment completed sales of 311 CV units in March 2024, compared to 179 CV units in March 2023.

However, the HD or heavy-duty segment of the brand experienced a decrease in sales. The segment sold 48 units of CV in exports in March 2024, compared to 112 units in the same month last year, a 57.10% loss.

Overall, the Export Eicher Truck Sales statistics for March 2024 showed sales of 359 CV units compared to 291 units in March 2023. The sales increased by 23.37% year over Year.

Volvo Truck Performance:

Volvo Trucks experienced an increase of 11.80%, selling 256 units in March 2024, up from 229 units in March 2023.

Overall, VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, sold 8,610 CV units in March 2024. The brand recorded a decrease of 4.50%, as the number of units sold in March 2023 was 9,016.
