This time at the Auto Expo 2023, the brand showcased the all-new Starbus EV with an electric powertrain. The vehicle has a standard floor height of 900 MM. Tata Motors has designed and developed the Starbus EV indigenously.
Also, the Starbus EV is India’s most successful and popular electric bus brand. Also, it has 730 operational units across the country. The vehicle is designed for city commuting and is a modern state-of-the-art electric bus. The vehicle has zero emission and low noise operations, and it has raised the benchmark for clean public transportation. Moreover, the vehicle comes with modern features like ease of boarding, comfortable seats and ease of operation for the Driver.
Tata Starbus EV – Upgraded Specifications
The Starbus EV comes with an Integrated Motor Generator, which delivers a maximum power of 245 KW.
It has a Lithium-ion Battery Pack Capacity – of ~300 to 400kWh.
The battery of the Starbus EV can get a full charge in 2 to 3 hours.
The vehicle can achieve a top speed of 70 kmph and has a gradeability of 17% at the rated GVW. In addition, it has a range of 200-250 KM while using the AC and 250-300 Km without using the AC.
The rated GVW of this vehicle is 19.5 tonne and has a seating capacity of Driver + 35 + wheelchair. And it has customisation options with Driver + 39 seats.
It comes with an Air Suspension System on the front & rear sides. In addition, it has a Disc brake on the front side and Drum brakes on the rear side with EBS & ESC.
