Bajaj Auto sold maximum of 2,53,012 units, and Mini Metro witnessed the highest sales growth of 182.39% in FY 2023
In the recent FADA (Federation of Automobiles Dealership Associations) sales report 2023, the financial performance of the 3-wheeler was highlighted. The three-wheeler segment experienced sales of 7,67,071 units. This segment saw a sales hike of 83.90% in the 2023 financial year compared to 4,17,108 units in the financial year 2022.
On how the financial year 2023 performed, FADA President Mr. Manish Raj Singhania commented, “The 3-wheeler category maintained its impressive growth rate of 84% year over year. Electrification in this category reached 52%, primarily driven by the e-rickshaw segment. The availability of finance, along with the availability of alternative fuels and state subsidies, has contributed to the growth of this segment.”

Brand Wise 3-wheeler Sales Report Data of FY 2023
Bajaj: This is considered the best-performing three-wheeler manufacturer in India. It sold 2,53,012 units in FY 2023, as per the FADA Three Wheeler Sales statistic. 1,48,068 units were produced in the last financial year of 2022. Hence, it experienced a 70.88% increase in sales.
Piaggio: The company sold 64,808 units in the financial year 2023, compared to 48,015 units in FY 2022. As per the FADA Three Wheeler Sales Statistics FY 2023, its sales growth increased by 34.97% as a result.
Y.C. Electric: This brand saw a sales growth of 75.41% in its retail sales for FY 2023. It sold 29,902 units compared to 17,047 units in FY 2022.
Mahindra: During FY 2023, its retail sales showed the strongest trend of a 99.22% sales hike. In this financial year, it sold 30,987 units, up from 15,554 in FY 2022.
Mayuri: This brand showed an upward trend of 151.83% in its retail sales, selling 22,259 units in FY 2023 compared to 8,839 units in FY 2022.
Atul Auto: This 3-wheeler brand observed a growth of 42.47% in its retail sales report. It sold 20,712 units in FY 2023 compared to 14,538 units in FY 2022.
Citylife: This three-wheeler brand highlighted a great sales increment of 148.75% in the FY23 retail sales data. It sold 16,910 units in FY 2023 compared to 6,798 units in FY 2022.
Saarthi: This manufacturer showed a hike of 86.13% in this FY23 retail sales report. It sold 14,012 units in FY 2023 compared to 7,528 units in FY 2022.
TVS Motors: This brand saw a 77.51% sales growth in its FY 2023 retail sales figure. It sold 14,197 units in FY 2023 compared to 7,998 units in the financial year 2022.
Mini Metro: This 3-wheeler manufacturer obtained the maximum positive sales of 182.39% in the 3-wheelers retail sales data FY 2023. It sold 12,174 units in FY 2023 compared to 4,311 units in FY 2022.
J.S. Auto: The brand saw sales growth of 94.82% in the Three Wheeler Sales Report Financial Year 2023. It sold 9,439 units in FY 2023 compared to 4,845 units in FY 2022.
Terra Motors: This 3-wheeler brand witnessed a sales growth of 99.14% in the 3 Wheeler Sales Data Financial Year 2023. It sold 8,101 units in FY 2023 compared to 4,068 units in FY 2022.
Commercial manufacturers of EVs (Electric Vehicles) and all other brands observed a sales increase of 108.93%. In FY 2023, they sold 2,70,558 three-wheelers in India, compared to 1,29,499 units in FY 2022.
