Tata Motors Secures New Order of 148 Electric Buses from BMTC
In India, Tata Motors, the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has received an additional order for 148 electric buses from Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). This order, managed by TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Motors, includes the supply, operation, and maintenance of Tata Starbus EV 12-metre low-floor electric buses for the next 12 years.
This latest order comes after BMTC’s earlier purchase of 921 electric buses from Tata Motors, most of which are already operational with a remarkable uptime of over 95%.
