Ashok Leyland Sales Reports a Bumper Jump of 50.28% in YoY in July 2022

The Hinduja giant reported a bumper growth of 99% in domestic sales in the year 2022 in the HCV and MCV segments (Heavy and Medium commercial vehicles). In the meanwhile, the company (i.e. Ashok Leyland) reported a growth of 16% in the Light commercial segment.

A detailed analysis

The Hinduja’s Group major Ashok Leyland sold a total of 6596 units in the MCV and HCV segments in the previous month. This was a growth of 99% YoY in domestic sales as compared to 3317 units sold in the previous year in the same month. 

However, the LCV segment was a bit slow in breaking the previous year’s downturn and a long slowdown due to COVID. And, henceforth, recorded a 16% growth in domestic sales from 4656 units in July 2021 to 5386 units in July this year as compared to the previous year.
 
The total MCV and HCV sales in July 2022 were 6943 as compared to 3501 in July 2021. While total growth in the LCV segment was a total of 13% in the month of July 2022. The Hinduja’s flagship, however, reported an overall growth of 49.1% in total (domestic+exports) YoY sales.
