Ashok Leyland recorded 42% growth in April 2022 by selling 11,197 units in total sales.
The key commercial vehicle brand, Ashok Leyland, reported a 42% increment in total sales (domestic & exports) in April 2022. Last month, the company sold 11,847 units which is high from the 8,340 units sold in April 2021.
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland sold 11,197 units in April 2022, increasing 41% from 7,961 units in April 2021.
Ashok Leyland’s domestic M&HCV (medium & heavy commercial vehicle) sales also rose 78% to 7073 units in April 2022, against 3,983 units sold during April 2021. Freight movement improved last month as economic activity picked up. Also, stable demand from infrastructure and construction sectors and static financing conditions for fleet owners supported heavy truck demands.
The total domestic sales of light commercial vehicles increased 4% in April 2022. Last month, the company sold 4,124 units of LCV, higher than the 3,978 units sold in April 2021.
