Eicher Rolled Out 50,000th Fully Built Bus

Eicher Truck & Buses, a business unit of VECV, launched its 50,000th fully manufactured bus on 25th June, 2024 from the industrial bus factory in Baggad, Madhya Pradesh.

The Eicher Skyline Pro E electric bus is an achieving milestone for the state-of-the-art bus factory in Baggad. This represents their determination to serve the rapidly growing Indian public transport segment.

Eicher’s Initiatives & Strategies Towards Sustainable Manufacturing

Eicher has started a robust sustainability initiative across its manufacturing operations. This initiative is centered on economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Amid these initiatives, energy monitoring and management systems like VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) enables panels and energy-efficient motors to optimize energy utilization and reduce wastage. Additionally, Eicher adopted sustainable strategies for achieving zero waste, which will be possible by reducing packaging waste and implementing safe disposal practices for hazardous materials.

Eicher Manufacturing Plant works with 42% renewable energy sources including solar and mini-hydel, which reflects on a proactive approach towards curbing the environmental footprint. This plant received the certification of Platinum Green Factory building by IGBC in 2016. Also, it was awarded as Smart Factory of the Year in 2021.

As for the future, Eicher Trucks and Buses is dedicated to offering an advanced range of vehicles in alternative fuels including CNG, LNG, and HCNG, along with its electric vehicles.

The 50,000th fully built bus, the Skyline Pro-E 9m model, represents Eicher's latest vehicle advancements. It is mindfully designed for urban use, featuring power-packed batteries and reliable electric driveline for efficient and noiseless operations.

This bus has been a top-most priority to enhance passenger's ride experience with unmatched safety and comfort. Further, it uses cutting-edge technology for quick charging, high-powering motor, and safe battery technology.

Bus Manufacturing Plant in Baggad, Madhya Pradesh

The Bus Manufacturing Plant in Baggad at MP, situated across 43 acres, established in 2013. It is an award winning factory manufacturing a wide range of buses in light, medium and heavy-duty types in diesel and CNG fuel variants, and electric drivelines. Additionally, this manufacturing plant supports domestic and international markets – staff, schools, route permits, tourist and intercity transportation.

VECV’s Bus Plant has an advanced robotic paint system. It is legally certified for Integrated Management Systems. This represents Eicher’s dedication to high efficiency, prime quality and environment control.
