EKA Mobility, a key player in the electric mobility sector, has introduced its latest offering, a 1.5-tonne electric vehicle (LCV), at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The brand partnered with Mitsui Co., Ltd. from Japan and VDL Groep from the Netherlands. EKA Mobility aims to meet the rising demands of the logistics and transportation industries with its innovative solutions.
The newly introduced 1.5-tonne electric LCVs promise superior performance, reduced operational costs, and a lower environmental impact. Alongside this, EKA Mobility showcased its EKA 9 Staff Bus, a 9-meter electric bus, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.

The EKA K1.5 range features a 300-volt electrical system architecture. It delivers a peak power of 60 kW and ensures top-notch vehicle performance. With a comprehensive warranty, EKA Mobility assures worry-free usage for its customers.
The company offers an indigenous software ecosystem for its vehicles, ensuring greater customisation, optimisation, security, and reliability. Powered by proprietary software, the vehicles boast seamless connectivity and advanced features, providing users with a futuristic driving experience.
EKA Mobility's state-of-the-art facilities in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will contribute significantly to the production of over 700 electric buses and 5000+ electric light commercial vehicles, all proudly made in India.
At the expo, EKA Mobility showcased its commitment to innovation with a delivery van for urban logistics and an innovative eutectic van for temperature-sensitive cargo transportation.
Earlier this year, EKA Mobility announced a strategic partnership with Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and VDL Groep. With a joint investment exceeding USD 100 million, India's position as a global manufacturing and sourcing hub for electric vehicles has solidified. Furthermore, the collaboration with GreenCell Mobility aims to supply 1,000 intercity electric buses in the coming years. This underlines EKA Mobility's commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
