In July 2024, FADA reports a total combined CV sales increase of 8.66%
Three-Wheeler Segment experienced a growth of 12.88%, selling a total of 110,497 units.
The FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) has reported the latest sales figures for commercial vehicles (CVs) and three wheelers. In July 2024, combined CV sales reached 270,611 units, marking an 8.66% increase from the 249,037 units sold in July 2023.
Commercial vehicle sales rose by 5.93% to 80,057 units in July 2024, compared to 75,573 units during the same period last year. The three-wheeler market saw a substantial boost, with sales growing by 12.88% to 110,497 units in July 2024, up from 97,891 units in July 2023.

FADA Retail Sales Report by Segment - Three-Wheeler
E-RICKSHAW (P)
Under the E Rickshaw segment, retail sales increased by 22.11% in July 2024. The brand sold 44,447 units in July 2024, compared to 43,529 in July 2023.
E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G)
This segment saw an 86.68% increase in retail sales in July 2024. The E-Rickshaw category sold 5,186 units in July 2024, compared to 2,778 in July 2023.
THREE WHEELER (GOODS)
The 3-wheeler segment's July 2024 sales figure significantly increased by 5.65%. It sold 10,187 units in July 2024, compared to 9,642 in July 2023.
THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER)
This passenger vehicle segment registered a major retail sales growth of 20.84% in July 2024. The segment sold 50,594 units in July 2024, compared to 41,867 in July 2023.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL)
The personal three-wheeler saw a 10.67% rise in retail sales in July 2024. The segment sold 75 units in July 2023, which increased to 83 in July 2024.

The commercial vehicle segment has also been segregated according to LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. The following are the complete CV sales figures.
Light Commercial Vehicle
The Light Commercial Vehicle segment saw a 2.04% growth in retail sales in July 2024. The segment closed with 45,336 units in July 2024, compared to 44,428 units in July 2023.
Medium Commercial Vehicle
The MCV category of commercial vehicles sold 7,124 units in July 2024, compared to 6,509 units in July 2023. As a result, the MCV segment experienced a growth rate of 9.45%.
Heavy Commercial Vehicle
In July 2024, retail sales in the Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment increased by 11.80%. During this period, 24,066 units were sold, compared to 21,525 in July 2023.
Others
All other remaining segments of the CV category ended in July 2024, with sales of 3,531 units. In July 2023, it sold 3,111 units, which resulted in sales growth of 13.50%.
