Three-Wheeler Segment experienced a growth of 0.66%, selling a total of 1,06,524 units.
The FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) has reported the latest sales figures for commercial vehicles (CVs) and three-wheelers. In September 2024, combined CV sales reached 180,848 units, a 4.22% decrease from the 188,820 units sold in September 2023.
Commercial vehicle sales decreased 10.45% in September 2024, with 74,324 units sold compared to 82,993 units sold during the previous year. However, the three-wheeler market experienced a significant increase, with sales rising by 0.66% to 1,06,524 units, compared to 1,05,827 units in September 2023.
Under the E Rickshaw segment, retail sales decreased by -5.71% in Sep 2024. The brand sold 44,043 units in Sep 2024, compared to 46,712 in Sep 2023.
This segment saw a 50.39% increase in retail sales in September 2024. The E-Rickshaw category sold 4,569 units in September 2024, compared to 3,038 in September 2023.
The 3-wheeler segment's September 2024 sales figure decreased by -5.04%. It sold 9,108 units in Sep 2024, compared to 9,591 in Sep 2023.
This passenger vehicle segment registered a major retail sales growth of 4.98% in Sep 2024. The segment sold 48,714 units in Sep 2024, compared to 46,404 in Sep 2023.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL)
The personal three-wheeler saw a 9.76% rise in retail sales in September 2024. The segment sold 82 units in September 2023, which increased to 90 in September 2024.
The commercial vehicle segment has also been segregated according to LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. The following are the complete CV sales figures.
The LCV segment saw an 11.87% loss in retail sales in September 2024. The segment closed with 41,715 units in September 2024, compared to 47,334 units in September 2023.
The MCV category of commercial vehicles sold 6,090 units in Sep 2024, compared to 5,855 units in Sep 2023. As a result, the MCV segment experienced a growth rate of 4.01%.
In Sep 2024, retail sales in the HCV segment decreased by 11.71%. During this period, 22,941 units were sold, compared to 25,984 in Sep 2023.
All other remaining segments of the CV category ended in Sep 2024, with sales of 3,578 units. In Sep 2023, it sold 3,820 units, which resulted in a sales loss of -6.34%.
