Daimler India Recorded the Highest Growth of 70.05% in the FADA July 2023 Report.
FADA (Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association) has released the commercial vehicle sales report for July 2023. The data includes all the retail sales of the companies through the dealers across all the Indian states, excluding the exports.
The CV segment closed the month with a hike of 2.02% in July YoY sales. All the CV OEMs sold 73,065 units, whereas it was 71,619 in the same month last year.
Official Statement of FADA:-
Mr. Manish Raj Singhania, President Of FADA, said, “The CV segment showed mixed dynamics. Despite robust stock availability and growth in areas like school buses, challenges from erratic weather and high vehicle costs affected demand. However, infrastructure project boosts remain a silver lining.”
Brand-Wise Commercial Vehicles Sales Data
Here's an insight on the Commercial Vehicle Retail Sales June 2023 of FADA. We have individually segregated the sales in this segment according to the brands.
Tata Motors:-
As we all know, Tata Motors is one of India's most prominent OEMs. The brand sold 26,635 units of CVs in July 2023 against 28,451 units in July 2022. As a result, Tata faced a loss of 6.38% in sales.
Mahindra & Mahindra:-
Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 17,582 units of commercial vehicles in July 2023 sales. Whereas the brand closed the sales of July 2022 with 17,294, resulting in a growth of 1.67%.
Ashok Leyland:-
Ashok Leyland recorded favorable growth in the FADA CV sales statistics in July 2023. The brand sold 11,600 commercial vehicles in July 2023, against the 10,760 units of July 2022. As a result, they had a sales hike of 7.81%.
VECV
The joint venture of Volvo Trucks India and Eicher Trucks, VECV, also closed sales with decent numbers. The brand sold 5,288 units in July 2023, 11.33% higher than the 4,750 units sold in July 2022.
Maruti Suzuki:-
Maruti Suzuki, one of the largest Passenger Vehicle manufacturers, has performed outstandingly in July 2023 sales. The brand had sales units of 3,315 in July 2023, whereas the sold units in July 2022 were 2,921 and reported a growth of 13.49%.
Force Motors Limited:-
Force Motors Limited sold 1,665 CV units in the FADA July 2023 sales report. Whereas in July 2022, the brand sold 1,213 units. As a result, the brand registered a sales hike of 37.26%.
Daimler:-
Daimler India or BharatBenz Trucks closed the month with 1,493 sold units against the 878 units sold in July 2022, resulting in a growth of 70.05%.
SML Isuzu:-
SML Isuzu also completed the July month with sales on the positive side. The brand sold 1,135 units of CV in July, which is 15.11% higher than the 986 units sold in the same month last year.
Along with this, all the remaining brands of this segment sold 4,352 units in FADA July 2023. Moreover, all of these brands cumulatively sold 4,366 units in July 2022 sales, resulting in a fall of -0.32%.
