Mahindra Truck & Bus sold 30,657 units of commercial vehicles in India.
Mahindra Truck & Bus is one of the best commercial vehicle brands in India. The company has a wide customer base across the globe. The brand has just revealed its sales numbers for August and has uplifted the sales with note-worthy margins.
Mahindra sold 30,657 units of commercial vehicles against the 26,275 units of August 2022. This figure indicates a hike of 16.68%. The Mahindra Truck sales statistics come with segregated sales of different GVW categories. So, let’s look at the sales of various truck categories.
LCV<2T:-
The LCV category, which includes vehicles under 2 tons, has sold 3,896 CV units. This number is the same as last month. As a result, it got 0% changes in the sales.
LCV 2 T – 3.5 T:-
This category has GVW vehicles ranging from 2 Tons to 3.5 Tons. This category completed sales of 18,768 units in August 2023, which closed at 16,940 units in August 2022. As a result, it generated a growth of 11%.
LCV > 3.5T + MHCV:-
This category has LCVs having a GVW of more than 3.5 T and Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles. The category sold 949 vehicles in August 2023 against the 646 vehicles in August 2022. This subsequently resulted in a sales of 47%.
3 Wheelers (including electric 3Ws):-
This section includes 3-wheeler vehicles, including the electric 3-wheelers. The category sold 7,044 units of commercial vehicles, which was 4793 units in August 2022. As a result, it has a positive growth of 47% in sales.

Mahindra Trucks & Bus also has a good presence in the global market and is one of the admired multinational companies. It has reached more than 100 countries. However, the export sales of the brand ended on a negative note. They sold 2423 CV units in August 2023 against the 2912 units in August 2022, experiencing a downfall of 17%.
