Tata Motors Sold 32,077 units of commercial vehicles, with a 29.90% hike in Passenger Carriers
The commercial vehicle giant Tata Motors has revealed the brand's sales numbers for August 2023. The brand sold 32,077 commercial vehicle units in August 2023 and 31,492 in August 2022. As a result, it recorded a growth of 1.90%.
According to Tata truck sales in India, the brand sold 30,748 CV units against 29,313 units. This signifies a gain of 4.90% in August sales.

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle):-
Tata Motors registered a growth of 14.40% in the sales of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. They sold 9,000 vehicles in August 2022 against the 7,865 vehicles of the same month last year. As a result, it indicates a growth of 14.40%.
ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):-
The ILMCV sales of the vehicle also ended positively, with a hike of 4.80%. The brand sold 5,207 commercial vehicles in August 2023 compared to 4,968 units in August 2022.
Passenger Carriers (PC) Category:-
The passenger carrier segment from Tata Motors is growing sustainably and captures the highest growth among the categories. The segment sold 2,986 CV units in August 2023 & 2,299 units in August 2022, resulting in a surge of 29.90%.
SCV Cargo and Pickup:-
The Small Commercial Vehicles and Pickup segment recorded a downfall of 4.40% in the sales of August 2023. The sales number of August 2023 is 13,555 units, whereas in August 2022, the units sold were 14,181.
Moreover, the Export sales of Tata Motors ended the month with a decline of -39.00%. The brand exported 1,329 units of CVs in August 2023 against the 2,179 units they shipped last year.
