Hello, we are back with another sales report for November 2021. We come with three Wheeler, Rickshaw Sales 2021, which have seen growth in November 2021.
Over the past month, three wheeler retail sales have been increasing. Three wheeler retail sales stood at 24,269 units in Nov’20 which grew 66.85% to 40,493 units in Nov’21. It was also a notable growth over retail sales in Oct’21 stood at 39,077 units. The three wheeler electric segment benefits from state and central government subsidies and the FAME II subsidy scheme. Together, this contributes to the more competitive pricing of e-three-wheelers than internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicles.
Three Wheeler, Rickshaw Sales November 2021
Again Bajaj has maintained its number 1 position in retail sales. Bajaj Auto stood at 14.677 units in Nov’21, which grew from 8,862 units in November 2020. It was the only three wheeler brand that noted sales above the 10,000 unit mark. However, this growth did not give rise to market share, which dipped to 36.25% in Nov’21, over 36.52% in Nov’20. Bajaj Auto’s Maxima C has high demand among the users, and it commands a 45% market share in the April-November 2021 duration. It is popular because of its reliability and power. Bajaj Maxima C is available in CNG and Diesel fuel types.
Following Bajaj Auto, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited stood second and became the best selling commercial vehicle maker in India in Nov’21. It stood at 4,774 units in November 2021, up from 4,501 units retailed in Nov’20. Market share dipped from 18.55% to 11.79% YOY. The company is high in demand due to its electric three wheeler models, Ape E-City and Ape E-Xtra. Both the electric models come with fixed and swappable batteries.
Next on the list is Mahindra, which stood at 1,608 units in Nov’21 grew from 989 units in Nov’20. Mahindra Treo dominates the electric three wheeler market. Since its launch, the company has sold over 10,000 units of Mahindra Treo and is India’s largest selling lithium-ion electric auto.
Atul Auto & TVS Motors
Atul Auto sold 1,400 units in Nov’21, which increased by 1,073 units retailed in Nov’20. TVS Motors stood at 850 units on November 21, grew from 4,501 units retailed in November 2020.
