VECV Reports 4.72% Sales Surge in Dec 2023, Selling 6,391 Units

Eicher Trucks Sold 6,154 units of Commercial Vehicles, Recording a 4.57% Rise in December Y-O-Y Sales.

VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, experienced a substantial 4.72% increase in commercial vehicle (CV) sales in December 2023, with a total of 6,391 units sold compared to 6,103 units in December 2022.

Eicher Trucks experienced a 4.57% year-on-year (YoY) rise, selling 6,154 units of commercial vehicles in December 2023. The brand's domestic sales for Eicher vehicles showed 5.17% growth, reaching 5,956 units compared to 5,663 units in December 2022.

Segment-Wise Sales:

The LMD (3.5-15T) segment sold 3,868 CV units in December 2023, which closed with 3,748 CV units in December 2022. It resulted in a 3.20% growth in sales.

In addition, the Heavy Duty segment grew by 9.00% in sales. This segment sold 2,088 units of CVs on December 23, compared to 1,915 units last December.

Explore Sales Data:

The LMD segment of Export Eicher Truck sales data for December 2023 shows a decrease of 20.80%. This segment completed sales of 164 CV units in Dec 2023, compared to 207 CV units in Dec 2022.

However, the HD or heavy-duty segment of the brand experienced an impressive increase in sales. The segment sold 34 units of CV in exports in December 2023, which was 15 units in the same month last year. It resulted in a 126.70% rise in sales.

Overall, the Export Eicher Truck Sales statistics for December 2023 showed sales of 198 CV units, against 222 units in December 2023. The sales decreased by 10.81% in December Y-o-Y.

Volvo Truck Performance :

Volvo Trucks experienced an impressive 8.70% growth, selling 237 units in December 2023, up from 218 units in December 2022.

Overall, VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, sold 6,391 CV units in Dec 2023. The brand recorded a growth of 4.72%, as the units sold in December 2022 were 6,103.
