Auto Expo is Back: Check out What’s Happening in Auto Expo 2023
After a gap of 3 years, the Auto Expo is coming back with its 16th edition in January 2023. The last edition of this show happened in the February of 2020, just before the pandemic occurred. The event is organised by the ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturer Association of India), the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and the SIAM (Society of Indian Manufacturers). Also, it is happening at the India Expo Mart, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, near the JP Golf Course.
What is Auto Expo? And Why Is This in the Trend?
Auto Expo is an automobile event in which all the brands showcase the new products, technologies and components which they want to launch in that year or the near future. Auto Expo is a big event for all this segment’s automobile brands and enthusiasts. The wavelength of this event is so high that people from across the world come and visit this. In addition, the Auto Expo includes all the commercial vehicles, 2-wheeler brands and Car brands.
Auto Expo is one of Asia’s biggest automotive showcase events every 2 years. But this time, the event happens after a gap of 3 years. And people are eager to attend the event. The OEMs are also excited to showcase their new technologies to the world. In addition, the Auto Expo showcases not only the vehicles but also the new technologies of components like engines or new braking systems.

Rajesh Menon, the director general of SIAM, said, “Auto Expo 2023 is providing a platform to companies to showcase advancements in new generation electrified technologies and to consumers who can experience how the automobile industry has geared up for the transformation of mobility that would be carbon benign, safe and connected.”

Auto Expo 2023: Time & Place of the Event
The event will take place at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, near the JP Golf course, from January 13 to 18. At the same time, the Auto Expo – Component Show will take place from 12th to 15 th January at the Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
Timings of Auto Expo 2023
The Auto Expo 2023 dates are 13th to 18th January, and we have the timings. The general hours of the events on January 14 and 15 are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On January 16 and 17, you can visit the event between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.; on January 18, the timings are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also, the entries will be closed 30 minutes before the closing time, whereas the entries will be closed 1 hour before the entry time.
What’s New We Are in the Commercial Vehicle Industry
The commercial vehicle industry is going through this year, and we expect it to grow many folds in the next year. Almost all the brands are witnessing a good run in their sales, and in this Auto expo in India, they would like to introduce new vehicles.
Tata Motors:-
Tata Motors is planning to reveal a new Hydrogen engine. The company started working on it long ago and is now ready to enter the market with the next generation of technologies. The brand’s motto is to deliver zero-carbon emission vehicles to the country. Passenger vehicles to Commercial vehicles the brand is at the forefront of new-age specs and safety in the market.
Continuing the legacy of safety, Tata may launch the ADAS feature in this Auto Expo 2023. The ADAS stands for Advanced Driving Assistance System, which sets the driving standards on a different pedestal. JWL (Jupiter Wagons Limited):-
JWL, one of the most prominent brands in Railways coaches and engineering equipment, is planning to launch two new electric commercial vehicles. The brand also manufactures braking systems, high-speed passenger coaches and many more. JWL is launching the vehicles under its brand Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), which is an electric arm of the brand. The brand has revealed a teaser of the 2.2 electric LCV and the 7-tonne MCV. Both vehicles have been awaited for a long time.
Ashok Leyland’s Sustainable Future Technology:-
Ashok Leyland has shown a glimpse of its new plan for the future of vehicles. They have planned to launch a new sustainable future technology which gives ideas about LNG-fueled trucks. Also, the probability of launching an electric vehicle is also there, as sustainability is the topic.
But not only vehicles, but we can also expect some more components and new engine types from the brand.

Auto Expo 2023 includes all types of vehicles and components which will be showcased at the event. All the big brands of cars like Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Porsche, and Lamborghini make presents on the list. In addition, we will see some of the most prominent OEMs in the brands not attending the event. As a result, brands like BMW, Citroen, Force Motors, Honda Cars India, Isuzu, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Renault, and Nissan are not on the Auto Expo 2023 exhibitor List.
In addition, the 2-wheelers who will not participate are TVS, Bajaj Auto, and Hero MotoCorp.
