Tata Motors Records a Mixed Performance in Domestic and Export Sales
Tata Motors has announced its sales performance for November 2024, reflecting a marginal decline in overall commercial vehicle sales. The total sales stood at 27,636 units in November 2024, compared to 28,029 units in November 2023, marking a 1% year-on-year (Y-O-Y) decrease.
The brand's passenger carrier segment showed impressive growth, emerging as the top performer with a significant 42% increase compared to the previous year.
Tata Motors, a leading Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer, reported a slight decline in domestic sales, with the total domestic CV sales at 26,183 units in November 2024, compared to 26,579 units in November 2023, registering a 1% dip. The export sales remained stable with a 0% change, recording 1,453 units sold in both November 2024 and November 2023.
Overall, the commercial vehicle sales performance declined slightly by 1% Y-O-Y.
Category-wise Tata Motors Truck Sales Report for November 2024

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle):
Tata Motors' HCV segment witnessed an 8% decline in November 2024. The brand sold 7,586 units last month compared to 8,253 units in November 2023.
ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):
The ILMCV segment sales remained flat with no growth or decline recorded. Tata Motors sold 4,374 units in November 2024, mirroring the sales from November 2023.
Passenger Carriers (PC) Category:
The passenger carrier segment continued to shine, achieving a remarkable 42% growth. Tata Motors sold 3,022 units in November 2024 compared to 2,130 units in November 2023, cementing its position as the best-performing category.
SCV Cargo and Pickup:
In the Small Commercial Vehicle Cargo and Pickup segment, Tata Motors experienced a slight decline of 5% in sales. The company sold 11,201 units in November 2024, down from 11,811 units in November 2023.
CV Exports:
The export sales remained consistent with no year-on-year growth or decline. Tata Motors sold 1,453 CV units in November 2024, the same as November 2023.
