ZELIO Plans Major Expansion in Electric 3-Wheeler Network

One of the leading electric vehicle companies in India, ZELIO E Mobility Ltd, has announced a big plan to grow its electric 3-wheeler dealership network. Right now, the company has 28 dealerships in seven states. But by the end of May 2025, ZELIO aims to increase this number to 100. This move shows the company’s strong focus on growing green and clean transport in the country.

Currently, ZELIO is present in states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The company plans to expand its presence in these states and start business in new states like Uttarakhand, Delhi, Assam, and West Bengal. This will allow more people across India, especially in cities and small towns, to access eco-friendly transport.

Growth That Brings Jobs and Clean Mobility

In addition to expanding dealerships, ZELIO’s plan will also help the economy. The company expects to create around 400 to 500 new jobs through this expansion. This will not only support local families but also help strengthen ZELIO’s role in India’s growing EV market.

Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Kunal Arya, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ZELIO E Mobility Ltd., said, “E-rickshaws are a very important part of India’s electric vehicle market. They help in last-mile travel in both crowded cities and rural areas. We’ve seen good growth so far, and that’s why we are now expanding faster. With this step, we want to give people affordable and green transport while also helping in job growth and new ideas in the EV field.”

Focus on Two Flagship Models – Tanga Butterfly and Tanga SS

As ZELIO grows its network, it will focus mainly on two of its most popular electric three-wheelers —the Tanga Butterfly and the Tanga SS. These models were first shown at the EV India Expo 2024 in New Delhi, where visitors responded highly.

The Tanga Butterfly is built using Mild Steel (MS), while the Tanga SS is made from Stainless Steel (SS). Both models offer a top speed of 30 km/h and a driving range of 100 km on a single charge. They come with a 1200W motor and offer battery options like a 48/60V 140Ah Lead-Acid battery and LFP battery choices of 51V 105Ah or 153Ah. Charging takes about 8 hours, making them easy to use for everyday needs.

More Sales Expected with Bigger Reach

With more dealerships and vehicles available at a wider range, ZELIO hopes to see better sales. The company expects to sell 400 more units by the end of May 2025. This growth will also help ZELIO reach more customers who are looking for reliable and cost-friendly electric transport options.

A Step Toward a Cleaner Future

Overall, ZELIO’s expansion plan shows its strong aim of leading in the electric vehicle sector. As more people choose e-rickshaws for daily travel, companies like ZELIO are helping shape a cleaner, greener, and better-connected future for India. Through wider networks, job growth, and dependable products, ZELIO is playing an important role in making electric mobility easy and accessible for all.
