September 1, 2026: Ashok Leyland, one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has announced its sales performance for August 2026. The company recorded 18,067 commercial vehicle (CV) sales, including domestic and export markets, registering a 43.4% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 12,596 units sold in August 2025. The growth was driven by strong demand across both the M&HCV truck and LCV segments.

Commercial Vehicle Domestic Sales – August 2026

Ashok Leyland's domestic commercial vehicle sales stood at 17,315 units in August 2026, up 43.6% from 12,057 units sold during the same month last year.

Domestic Sales Highlights

M&HCV Trucks: 10,285 units, up 60% YoY from 6,426 units.
LCV: 7,030 units, up 25% YoY from 5,631 units.

Commercial Vehicle Export Sales – August 2026

The company exported 752 commercial vehicles in August 2026, compared to 539 units in August 2025, registering a 39.5% YoY growth.

Export Sales Highlights

M&HCV Trucks: 463 units, up 48% YoY from 312 units.
LCV: 289 units, up 27.3% YoY from 227 units.

Gross Commercial Vehicle Sales (Domestic + Export)

Including both domestic and export markets, Ashok Leyland's total commercial vehicle sales reached 18,067 units in August 2026, compared to 12,596 units in August 2025. This reflects an overall 43.4% YoY growth.

Gross Sales Highlights

M&HCV Trucks: 10,748 units, up 59.5% YoY from 6,738 units.
LCV: 7,319 units, up 24.9% YoY from 5,858 units.

Strong Growth Across Domestic and Export Markets

Ashok Leyland recorded strong growth across its domestic and export businesses in August 2026. M&HCV truck sales led the growth, rising by nearly 60% YoY in gross sales, while LCV sales increased by nearly 25% YoY. The strong performance reflects healthy demand across key commercial vehicle segments.
