Ashok Leyland sold 11,372 commercial vehicle sales units in the Domestic market.

Ashok Leyland, India's top commercial vehicle producer, recently published its sales figures for April. The data shows a 0.24% increase in overall sales in both domestic and export markets.

In April 2024, the company's sales of commercial vehicles dropped by 1.97%, with 11,600 units sold compared to the 11,372 units sold domestically. Significantly, the number of export units increased by 94.12% from April 2023 to April 2024, with 528 units sold compared to 272 units in the prior year.

The M&HCV truck industry in April 2024 showed a decrease of 2%. It reported sales of 6,537 units, in contrast to 6,656 units in April 2023. Therefore, this CV producer experienced a drop in sales.

Furthermore, its LCV category again experienced a 2% dip in sales. The Ashok Leyland Truck brand sold 4,835 LCVs in April 2024, compared to 4,944 in April 2023. The Total Ashok Leyland Domestic CV Sales Report segment sold 11,372 units in April 2024, compared to 11,600 units in April 2023.

According to the April 2024 Export CV Sales Statistics for Ashok Leyland, sales increased significantly by 94.12%. In April 2024, 528 units were sold, more than the 272 units sold in April 2023.

Further, the LCV category reported sales of 313 units in April 2024, compared to 97 units in April 2023. The brand recorded impressive sales growth of 222.68% in this category.

Furthermore, it experienced a sales surge with a remarkable 22.86% growth in the M&HCV category. Under the M&HCV vehicles, the company sold 215 units in April 2024, compared to 175 units in April 2023.

Additionally, under the M&HCV Truck category, 6,752 CVs were sold in April 2024, compared to 6,831 CVs in April 2023. Within the LCV category, 5,148 CVs were sold in April 2024, compared to 5,041 CVs in April 2023.
