In January 2022, VECV registered a decline of 4% in auto sales YoY to 5,434 units, the company said in a statement.
VE Commercial Vehicle, a joint venture of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, sold 5,434 units of commercial vehicles in Jan 2022. The company registered a decrease of 4.2% year-on-year (YoY) from 5,673 units in Jan 2021.
In Dec 2021, VECV sold 6,154 commercial vehicles. On a sequential basis, the sales of commercial vehicles were down by 11.69% than 6,154 units in Dec 2021.
Total domestic sales of Eicher trucks and buses declined 8.9% to 4,523 units in whole January 2022, while total exports grew 44.5% to 802 units in January 2021. Total sales of Volvo Trucks & Buses sold 109 units in January 2022, registering 29.2%, down over 154 units sold in January 2021.
On a consolidated basis, the net profit of Eicher Motors jumped 8.7% to Rs 373.20 crore on 4.9% growth in net sales to Rs 2,216.40 crore in Q2 Sep 2021 over Q2 Sep 2020. Along with this, Eicher Motors’ Shares grew 0.60% to Rs 2,658 on BSE.
