Mahindra Records Decline in Domestic CV Sales - Sold 25,793 Units in May 2024

Mahindra & Mahindra saw a 2.00% increase in export CV sales but a 0.46% decrease in domestic sales

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV category saw remarkable growth, with a 90% surge in truck sales.

In May 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra, a top producer of commercial vehicles, experienced a 0.46% fall in its domestic CV sales. The number of units decreased from 25,913 in May 2023 to 25,793 in May 2024.

LCV<2T

This LCV category registered sales of 3,156 units in May 2024, compared to 2,913 units in May 2023. The brand witnessed an 8% sales profit.

LCV 2 T–3.5 T

Mahindra closed the May 2024 sales with 13,781 units, whereas the units sold by LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 15,631 in the same month of last year. The brand experienced a 12% loss in the 2024 FY.

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment experienced 90% growth in May. To illustrate, the segment sold 2,889 CVs in May 2024, compared to 1,518 units in May 2023.

3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)

The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment, also registered a decrease in sales. In May 2024, 5,967 units of 3-wheelers and electric 3-wheelers were sold, compared to 5,851 units in May 2023. As a result, the brand registered a 2% rise.
