Tata Motors Reports a 7% Decline in Overall Commercial Vehicle Sales for February 2025

For February 2025, Tata Motors has announced its sales performance, recording a decline in overall commercial vehicle sales. The total sales dropped by 7.00%, with 32,533 units sold in February 2025 compared to 35,085 units in February 2024.

Despite this decline, the ILMCV segment showcased significant growth, marking an 11.00% increase and standing out as the top-performing category for the month.

Tata Motors, a leading name in the Indian commercial vehicle market, disclosed an 8.00% decrease in its domestic commercial vehicle sales. The brand sold 30,797 units domestically in February 2025, down from 33,567 units in February 2024.

HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle)

The HCV segment saw a slight 2.00% decline in sales. Tata Motors sold 9,892 HCV units in February 2025 compared to 10,091 units in February 2024.

ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):

Sales in the ILMCV segment experienced an 11.00% increase. Tata Motors sold 5,652 units in February 2025, up from 5,083 units in February 2024.

Passenger Carriers (PC)

The passenger carrier segment recorded a 7.00% decline, with sales dropping from 4,692 units in February 2024 to 4,355 units in February 2025.

SCV Cargo and Pickup

Tata Motors saw a significant drop of 20.00% in the SCV cargo and pickup segment. The brand sold 10,898 units in February 2025, compared to 13,701 units in February 2024.

CV Export

The export performance for commercial vehicles showed positive growth, with a 14.00% increase. Tata Motors exported 1,736 units in February 2025, up from 1,518 units in February 2024.

While the overall sales saw a notable dip, the ILMCV segment demonstrated strong growth, and exports increased, reflecting Tata Motors' resilience and ability to adapt to market changes.
