Tata Motors Records 222 Patent Applications, 333 Patents Secured in FY24

Tata Motors Reaches Major Milestone in IPR Creation with Insights and Latest Commercial Vehicle Details

In India, Tata Motors, a major automobile company, has set new records in intellectual property rights (IPR) during Fiscal Year 2024. The company submitted 222 patents and 117 design applications, the highest to date.

These patents cover a wide range of innovations, focusing on key automotive trends such as connectivity, electrification, sustainability, and safety (CESS). Further, they also involve various vehicle systems like powertrain, body and trim, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and emission control. Additionally, Tata Motors secured 333 patents, bringing its total count to over 850.
