Mahindra Records Decline in Domestic CV Sales– 26,778 Units Sold in June 2024

Mahindra & Mahindra Saw a  4.00% Increase in Export CV Sales but a 2.04% Decrease in Domestic Sales

The LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles) > 3.5T + MHCV (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles) category saw remarkable growth, with a significant 77% surge in truck sales. This impressive performance highlights Mahindra's strength in the heavier segments of the commercial vehicle market.

In June 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading producer of commercial vehicles, experienced a 2.04% fall in its domestic CV sales. The number of units sold decreased from 27,336 in June 2023 to 26,778 in June 2024. This decline in domestic sales reflects a challenging market environment.

The Mahindra sales report for June 2024 included data on sales for different types of vehicles. Now, let's examine the sales data for each category.

LCV<2T 

The category registered sales of 3,223 units in June 2024, compared to 3,063 units in June 2023. The brand witnessed a 5% sales profit. 

LCV 2 T–3.5 T 

Mahindra closed the June 2024 sales with 14,097 units, whereas the units sold by LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 16,042 in the same month of last year. The brand experienced a 12% loss in the 2024 FY. 

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV  

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment experienced 77% growth in June. To illustrate, the segment sold 3,274 CVs in June 2024, compared to 1,854 units in June 2023.  

3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)

The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment, also registered a decrease in sales. In June 2024, 6,184 units of 3-wheelers and electric 3-wheelers were sold, compared to 6,377 units in June 2023. As a result, the brand registered a 3% fall.
