VE Commercial Vehicles Sells 4,908 Units in May 2024

VECV sales increased by 8.42% in May 2024. The total number of VECVs sold in May 2024, including domestic and export sales, was 4,908 units.

Eicher Trucks' sales rose by 10.08% in May 2024, with 4,729 commercial vehicles sold compared to the previous year.

VEVC, a collaboration between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, saw an 8.42% increase in commercial vehicle (CV) sales in May 2024, selling 4,908 units as opposed to 4527 units in May 2023.

In May 2024, Eicher Trucks saw a 10.08% increase in commercial vehicle sales compared to May 2023. The domestic sales of Eicher vehicles also saw a 7.84% rise, totalling 4,444 units compared to 4,121 units in May 2023.

Segment-Wise Sales:

The LMD (3.5-15T) segment sold 2,809 CV units in May 2024, which closed with 2,713 CV units in May 2023. This resulted in a 3.50% rise in sales.

In addition, the Heavy Duty segment's sales also increased by 16.10%. This segment sold 1,635 units of CVs in May 2024, compared to 1,408 units last May.

The LMD segment of Export Eicher Truck sales data for May 2024 shows an increase of 81.60%. This segment completed sales of 267 CV units in May 2024, compared to 147 CV units in May 2023.

However, the HD or heavy-duty segment of the brand experienced a decrease in sales. The segment sold 15 units of CV in exports in May 2024, compared to 28 units in the same month last year, a 46.40% loss.

Overall, the Export Eicher Truck Sales statistics for May 2024 showed sales of 282 CV units, compared to 175 units in May 2023. The sales increased by 61.14% year over year.

Volvo Truck Performance

Volvo Trucks experienced a 14.60% dip, selling 182 units in May 2024, up from 231 units in May 2023.

Overall, VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, sold 4,908 CV units in May 2024. The brand recorded an increase of 8.42%, as the number of units sold in May 2023 was 4,527.
