*In the second quarter of FY2025–26, the company moved to the new tax regime under Section 115BAA of the Income Tax Act, 1961. As a result, it recorded a one-time tax benefit of ₹85.46 crore from deferred tax and MAT credit. Because of this, the tax expense for Q2 and H1 of FY2025–26 is not comparable with the same periods of FY2026–27. Therefore, the PAT and EPS growth figures are also not comparable.
Sales Pick Up After a Period of Adjustment
The company moved to the new Traveller N Range and the Urbania Deluxe in the early months of the year. This change required some operational adjustment. However, Force Motors used its strong factories and skilled teams to recover quickly, and sales volumes rose sharply in the months that followed.
Both new vehicles have received an encouraging response from customers. As a result, the company now holds a healthy order pipeline. Demand also stayed healthy across the rest of its range, including the Trax, Monobus and specialised vehicles.
Managing Director’s Comments
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Force Motors Limited, said, “The first half of FY2026–27 has been a period of transition and renewed momentum for Force Motors. The complete transition to the new Traveller N Range and the launch of the Urbania Deluxe marked important steps in strengthening our product portfolio. While this involved a period of operational adjustment, our strong manufacturing capabilities and the efforts of our teams helped us regain momentum, with volumes picking up significantly over the last two months. The response to both new products has been encouraging, and with a healthy order pipeline as we approach the festive season, we are optimistic about the months ahead. We also look forward to expanding our electric mobility offerings with the launch of the Traveller EV range, as we continue to develop solutions aligned with evolving customer needs.
We are also investing for the long term. Our planned investment of approximately ₹3,000 crore will help strengthen our manufacturing capabilities, expand capacity and support our ambition of nearly doubling our output to around 80,000 vehicles. Alongside this, initiatives such as Project DigiForce are helping us improve customer engagement, strengthen our dealer network and make our operations more efficient. Ultimately, these investments are about building a stronger organisation that can respond better to customer needs and sustain growth over the years. As we enter the second half, our focus remains on meeting demand, building on the response to our new products and continuing to strengthen the business for the future.”
Plans for Growth
Force Motors plans to invest about ₹3,000 crore to build stronger factories and add capacity. Moreover, it aims to nearly double its output to around 80,000 vehicles. The company will also launch the Traveller EV range to grow its electric offerings, while Project DigiForce will help it serve customers and dealers better.
