Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Crosses 4 Lakh EV Sales

Mahindra Becomes India’s First Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer to Cross 4 Lakh EV Sales

Mumbai, August 19, 2026: Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has crossed 4 lakh cumulative electric vehicle sales, becoming India’s first commercial EV manufacturer to reach this milestone. The company has achieved this milestone across passenger and cargo last-mile segments.

In addition, MLMML has remained India’s No. 1 electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for four consecutive financial years. The company now aims to put 10 lakh EVs on Indian roads by 2031.

Mahindra EVs Travel More Than 9 Billion Kilometres

Mahindra’s electric vehicles have together travelled more than 9 billion kilometres. Its EV portfolio includes the UDO, Treo range, Zor Grand, ZEO and e-Alfa.

As a result, these EVs have helped avoid around 1.85 lakh metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions. According to Mahindra, this environmental benefit equals planting more than 83 lakh trees.

However, the company says the 4 lakh EV milestone means more than just vehicle sales. These vehicles support drivers, shopkeepers, delivery partners and small business owners who depend on last-mile transport for their daily income.

Focus on Customers and Electric Mobility

Mahindra says it has focused on making electric vehicles useful for everyday business needs. Therefore, the company has worked on products, financing, partnerships and customer support to make EV adoption easier for last-mile users.

Perhaps the key focus has been on helping customers improve their daily business outcomes. The company believes customers choose electric mobility when it makes financial sense for their businesses.

Commenting on the milestone, Ms. Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, said, "4 Lakh is not just a number for us — it is 4 Lakh livelihoods we helped power every single day. This milestone belongs to the drivers and entrepreneurs who chose electric, and to the partners and teams who made electric mobility a practical choice for India’s last mile economy. At Mahindra, our focus remains clear: build better products, strengthen the ecosystem and make electric mobility accessible for every last mile customer.”

Mahindra Targets 10 Lakh EVs by 2031

With 4 lakh EV sales now achieved, MLMML plans to expand its electric vehicle presence further. The company aims to put 10 lakh EVs on the road by 2031.

Its current portfolio includes the Treo range, UDO, Zor Grand, e-Alfa and ZEO. These models serve passenger and cargo applications across India’s last-mile mobility market.

In addition, the company will continue to focus on products, financing and customer support to help more users shift to electric commercial vehicles. With this approach, Mahindra aims to strengthen electric mobility across India’s last-mile transport sector.
